I assure you it was honor to have you as our closing speaker for the Avnet Compass partner conference. The energy and passion you display when speaking is contagious and provided tremendous value to all in attendance. I have to tell you that you struck many personal cords with me during your speech. The idea of stewardship is something I’ve long believed in and you really made me think hard again about what motivates me to do what I do ever day. I received many compliments on my keynote speech from our partners as it was evident to them that I devoted considerable time in preparation. As I explained to all of them, my team works very hard throughout the year to delight our customers. I am the lucky, privileged one that has the opportunity to stand in front of our customers and employees and highlight all of the positive work done. I owe them the dedication of doing the best job of representing them I can as at the end of the day I am the least involved in making this engine run.

I was also very taken by the concept of making your objective a “cause”. My team has a passion for providing world class customer service to our partners, an obsession if you will. In fact our drive to provide this level of support is our cause and what drives more individual satisfaction and pride than achieving any other single measure of success.
